Bo the little bear smelled cookies baking. His tummy rumbled like a drum.
小熊波波闻到烤饼干的香味。他的肚子像鼓一样咕咕响。
He reached for the plate, but Mama said, “Wait. They are too hot.”

Bo sat on his paws and watched the clock. The minutes moved very slowly.
波波坐在爪子上，看着钟。时间走得很慢很慢。
Mama gave Bo five wooden blocks. He built a tall tower beside the table.
妈妈给了波波五块木头积木。他在桌边搭起一座高塔。
The tower wobbled, but it did not fall. Bo added one more block on top.
高塔摇摇晃晃，但没有倒。波波又在顶上加了一块。
Then Mama called, “They are cool now!” Bo clapped and forgot all about waiting.
这时妈妈喊道：“现在凉了！”波波拍拍手，把等待全忘了。
Bo took one warm cookie and held it in his paw. Then he heard a knock.
波波拿起一块温热的饼干，握在爪子里。这时他听见敲门声。
His friend Nia stood at the door with an empty basket.
他的朋友妮娅站在门口，拿着一个空篮子。
Bo put two cookies in her basket. “One for you, one for me,” he said.
波波把两块饼干放进她的篮子。“一块给你，一块给我。”他说。
